STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN OBJEK WISATA GUNUNG BERUK SEBAGAI WISATA BERBASIS MASYARAKAT DI DESA KARANGPATIHAN KECAMATAN BALONG KABUPATEN PONOROGO

Abstract

Abstrak Gunung Beruk di Desa Karangpatihan merupakan salah satu obyek wisata alam di Kabupaten Ponorogo.Obyek wisata Gunung Beruk dikelola oleh masyarakat desa Karangpatihan, sehingga pengembangan obyek wisata, kurang berjalan baik.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat potensi obyek wisata Gunung Beruk, sikap, dukungan dan sumber daya manusia mendukung pengembangan obyek wisata, dan strategi yang sesuai untuk pengembangan obyek wisata Gunung Beruk. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif.Populasi penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Desa Karangpatihan, di peroleh sampel sebanyak 100 orang responden diambil secara purposive sampling.Data penelitian berupa tingkat potensi, sikap, dukungan masyarakat dan sumber daya manusia dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi serta dianalisis menggunakan teknik skoring dan analisis Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa obyek wisata Gunung Beruk tergolong sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan.Sikap masyarakat mendukung pengembangan obyek wisata dari pemahaman, partisipasi tergolong tinggi, dukungan masyarakat tergolong tinggi, pengetahuan masyarakat tergolong rendah, disesbabkan sumber daya manusia dibidang pariwisata tergolong sangat rendah. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT obyek wisata Gunung Beruk, sehingga model strategi yang digunakan adalah Grow and Build yaitu penambahan produk wisata baru di kawasan wisata. Strategi pengembangan objek wisata Gunung Beruk berdasarkan matriks analisis SWOT antara lain menambah kegiatan wisata baru, melakukan kegiatan promosi di sosial media, menambah sarana fasilitas, mempermudah aksesibilitas, memberi pelatihan di bidang pariwisata kepada masyarakat di Desa Karangpatihan, memberi bantuan berupa ketrampilan pada pengelola objek wisata Gunung Beruk, menyediakan transportasi umum menuju ke objek wisata Gunung Beruk, membuat proposal bantuan kepada pemerintah, meningkatkan sumber daya manusia. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Masyarakat, SWOT   Abstract Beruk Mountain became one of pine forests tourism in  Ponorogo subdistrict. Since two years ago the management by local villagers to develop beruk mountain is not running well. This study aims to determine the level of potential attractions, attitude, support and human resources in supporting the development of Mountain Beruk tourism, and determine the appropriate strategy in the development of Beruk Mountain tourism This study was survey research with descriptive quantitative approach. The population was people of Karangpatihan Village, 100 respondents were selected as sample using purposive sampling. The data were collected through observation, interview, documentation and analyzed using scoring techniques and analysis of Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT). The result of the research shows that Mountain Beruk tourism  is very potential to be developed. The attitude of the community in supporting the development of Mountain Beruk tourism was  the understanding, in which the participation  was high, the community support was  high, the knowledge of the community was low caused the low  human resources. Based on the Strength, Weakness ,Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) analysis, the strategy to grow and build other tourism product made Mountain Beruk tourism more attractive. The strategy for the development of Beruk Montain tourism based on Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) matrix is ??to accommodate tourism activities, improve access road to the location of tourism, develop facilities, develop tourism potential with development based on environmental impact, cooperate with government to provide tourism skills training.
