<![CDATA[This study aims to describe how moral education is in the view of Sheikh Nawawi Al Bantani Al Jawi. This article also examines the pedigree and educational history of Sheikh Nawawi Al Bantani Al Jawi. This study uses a qualitative approach, more precisely library research. The essence of education in Islam according to the view of Sheikh Nawawi Al Bantani Al Jawi is to include the term ”ta’lim, tarbiyah, and ta'dib”. Education includes the transfer of knowledge, transfer of value, transfer of methodology, and transformation. Education includes physical (practice/charity), intellectual, mental/spiritual, and runs throughout life and is integral. According to Shaykh Nawawi, the aim of gaining knowledge (the purpose of education) is “mardatillah” and acquiring “ukhrawiyah” life, eradicating ignorance, advancing Islam, preserving Islam with the rules of science and as an embodiment of gratitude for being given a healthy mind and body.]]>
