PERBANDINGAN SIMAYANG TIPE-II DENGAN DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN METAKOGNISI DAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP

Abstract

The research aimed to compare between the SiMaYang type II learning model and discovery learning to improve metacognition ability and concept mastery has been done. This research used non equivalent control group design in which the 10th grade-2 and the 10th grade-12 was chose as research sample based on cluster random sampling. The results showed that the average n-Gain of metacognitions ability and concept mastery for the 10th grade-2 have "high" category and on the 10th grade-12 have "medium" category. The research concluded that SiMaYang type II learning model is better than discovery learning in improving metacognition ability and concept mastery.Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk membandingkan antara model pembelajaran SiMaYang tipe II dan discovery learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi dan penguasaan konsep. Penelitian ini menggunakan non equivalent control group design dimana kelas (X2 dan X12) digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian yang dipilih berdasarkan cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan metakognisi dan penguasaan konsep pada kelas X2 berkategori tinggi, dan pada kelas X12 berkategori sedang. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran SiMaYang tipe II lebih baik dari pada discovery learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi dan penguasaan konsep.Kata kunci: discovery learning, SiMaYang tipe II, kemampuan metakognisi
