Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran SiMaYang dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Literasi Kimia

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effect and effect measurement of  SiMaYang learning model to improve chemical literacy ability on acid base topic. This research used quasi experiment method with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Samples was selected by cluster random sampling. The effect of SiMaYang learning  model is measured on the average value of n-Gain, then the large size of the effect is measured based on the effect size. The results showed that 92% improvement of literacy’s in experiment class influenced by SiMaYang learning model. Base on the result this research, it can be concluded that SiMaYang learning model have a high effect in improving student chemical literacy abilitys on acid base topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh serta ukuran pengaruh  model pembelajaran  SiMaYang dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi kimia siswa pada materi asam basa. Metode yang digunakan adalah  kuasi eksperimen dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Pengaruh model pembelajaran SiMaYang diukur berdasarkan rata-rata nilai n-Gain, kemudian ukuran besar pengaruh diukur berdasarkan perhitungan effect size.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen 92% peningkatan literasi kimia siswa dipengaruhi oleh pembelajaran dengan model SiMaYang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran  SiMaYang berpengaruh besar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi kimia siswa pada materi larutan asam basa.Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran SiMaYang, kemampuan literasi kimia
