EFEKTIVITAS PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBEDAKAN PADA MATERI HIDROLISIS GARAM

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to increase differentiating ability in salt hydrolysis topic. The population of this research was students of 11th grade of SMA N 3 Bandar Lampung in even semester of academic year 2014-2015. The method of the research was quasi experimental with Non Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design. In this research the MIA 4 of the 11th grade and the MIA 5 of the 11th grade were control and experimental classes respectively which were taken by using purposive sampling. The results showed that the average of differentiating abilitys n-Gain in control and experimental class were 0.37 and 0.44 respectively. The result of test-t showed that scientific approach was effective to increase the students differentiating ability in salt hydrolysis topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan saintifik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membedakan pada materi hidrolisis garam. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMAN 3 Bandar Lampung semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2014-2015. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design. Pada penelitian ini kelas XI MIA 4 dan XI MIA 5 masing-masing sebagai kelas kontrol dan eksperimen yang di ambil berdasarkan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan membedakan untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing sebesar 0,37 dan 0,44. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membedakan pada pembelajaran hidrolisis garam.Kata kunci: hidrolisis garam, kemampuan membedakan, pendekatan saintifik
