PEMBELAJARAN MODEL SIMAYANG TIPE II PADA MATERI LARUTAN ELEKTROLIT DAN NON-ELEKTROLIT

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the practicality and effectiveness of SiMaYang Type II learning model and characteristic of mental model and concept mastery of students. The 10th grade of IPA1, IPA2, and IPA3 in SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung were taken as samples of this research. This research used pre-experiment method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of this research showed that the practicality and the effectiveness of SiMaYang Tipe II were categorized on very high. Mental model of students changed from very bad and bad category to become good and very good category. This learning model was also able to improve n-Gain concept mastery at average category. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan dan keefektivan model SiMaYang Tipe II serta karakteristik model mental dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Kelas X IPA1, X IPA2, dan X IPA3 di SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung diambil sebagai sampel pada penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dengan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model SiMaYang Tipe II memiliki kepraktisan dan keefektivan yang berkategori sangat tinggi. Model mental siswa berubah dari kategori buruk sekali dan buruk menjadi kategori baik dan baik sekali. Model ini juga mampu meningkatkan n-Gainpenguasaan konsep pada kategori sedang.Kata kunci: model mental, penguasaan konsep, SiMaYang Tipe II
