Abstract

This research aimed to develop animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions; describe the characteristics animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions; describe the teachers responses and students response to animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions; and know the obstacles encountered when developing animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions. This research used the Research and Development method. The result showed that based on teacher and students responses the complaince content of animation media was high (80%) according to teacher, the attractiveness was very high (83,45%) according to student.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi; mendeskripsikan karakteristik media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi; mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi; dan mengetahui faktor pendukung dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi ketika mengembangkan media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Dari hasil tanggapan guru diperoleh data bahwa pada aspek kesesuaian isi media animasi dengan kriteria tinggi sebesar 80%, dan memiliki tingkat kemenarikan sangat tinggi yaitu 83,45% menurut siswa.Kata kunci : media animasi, reaksi oksidasi reduksi, representasi kimia
