PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KONFLIK KOGNITIF TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP IPA DITINJAU DARI PENGETAHUAN AWAL

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research was to identify the effect of conflict cognitive learning model with the understanding of  science concepts be reviewed  of studentâ??s prior knowledge. This research was a quasi-experimental with posttest-only control group design. The population are students of class VIII in SMP N 1 Abiansemal. The samples amounted to 92 people be divided into control class and experimental class with random sampling technique. Data analysis by used two ways ANAVA. Data of understanding concepts  and studentâ??s prior knowledge be gathered through the test. The results of the research  showed that conflict  cognitive learning model have a better impact on studentâ??s understanding concept compared to conventional learning models and there was a significant interaction between learning model  and studentâ??s prior knowledge. Keywords: cognitive conflict learning model, conventional learning, prior knowledge, understanding of science concepts  ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran konflik kognitif terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA ditinjau dari pengetahuan awal siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan posttest-only control group design. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP N 1 Abiansemal. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 92 orang dibagi menjadi kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen dengan teknik random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan ANAVA dua jalur. Data pemahaman konsep dan pengetahuan awal siswa dikumpulkan melalui tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran konflik kognitif berdampak lebih baik terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional dan terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran dan pengetahuan awal siswa Kata kunci : model pembelajaran konflik kognitif, pembelajaran konvensional, Pengetahuan awal, pemahaman konsep IPA
