Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa melalui penerapan model problem based learning. Problem based learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada pemecahan masalah sehingga dapat meningkatkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Desember-Juli 2016 dan menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Data dikumpulkan melalui panduan catatan lapangan, panduan observasi pembelajaran,dan rubrik pemecahan masalah jawaban diskusi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa meningkat setelah diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan model problem based learning. Pada akhir penelitian dapat terlihat bahwa mahasiswa telah mencapai tahap evaluasi yang merupakan tahap akhir dari keterampilan berpikir kritis. This research is aims to explain the improvements of students critical thinking skill through problem based learning (PBL) model. Problem based learning are the learning model which oriented to the problem solving that potentially improve the student’s critical thinking skill. This rearch was conducted in December-July 2016 and use a classroom action rearch method. The data was gained through field note pilot, learning observation pilot, and the rubric of solving problem discussion answers. The result of this recearch was analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The result of this research showed that student’s critical thinking skill was increased after given learning by using problem based learning model. In the end of the research, it could be seen that students had achieved the evaluation phase as the final phase of critical thinking skill.
