Abstract

Peningkatan Menulis Teks Berita Melalui Model Group Investigation Kelas VIII SMPN 8 Tebas dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif dalam kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil pembelajaran menulis teks berita dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigation pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Tebas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Adapun jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan mengacu pada model Kurt Lewin. Alat penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes, lembar observasi, dan catatan lapangan. Data penelitian yang berupa temuan hasil observasi dan hasil evaluasi siswa, kemudian diolah secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, penerapan model Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks berita pada setiap siklus. Siklus I ketuntasan klasikal 75% dengan rerata ketuntasan individu 63 %, siklus II meningkat 84 % dengan rerata individu 68 %, dan siklus III 84% dengan rerata individu 73%. Kata Kunci: menulis teks berita, model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI)Abstract:Improving the skills of writing a news text in grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 8 Tebas through Group Investigation model was held to determine the application of cooperative learning in the classroom. In particular, this research aim is to describe the planning, implementation, and learning outcomes of writing a News Text using the Group Investigation model on grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 8 Tebas. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a form of qualitative research. The type of research is Classroom Action Research with reference to the model of Kurt Lewin. The Research used tests, the observation sheets, and field notes as tools of collecting data . The result of the observation and students test, then processed quantitatively and qualitatively.Based on the result of the research conducted,the application of Group Investigation model can improve the skills of writing a News Text in each cycle. First cycle, the classical completeness 75% with a mean of 63%, in the second cycle increased to 84% with average 68%, and in the third cycle increased to 84% with average 73%.Key words: writing a news text, model of learning Group Investigation(GI)
