<![CDATA[Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan tes pilihan ganda dengan esai pada materi Sistem Peredaran Darah kelas VIII SMPN 14 Pontianak, ada tidaknya interaksi tipe tes dan kemampuan kognitif terhadap hasil belajar, perbedaan hasil belajar antara tes pilihan ganda dengan esai pada siswa berkemampuan kognitif tinggi dan perbedaan hasil belajar antara tes pilihan ganda dengan esai pada siswa berkemampuan kognitif rendah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan bentuk treatment by level 2 2. Hasil uji Anava dua jalur dengan 0,05; terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan tes pilihan ganda dengan esai dimana Fhitung(5,37) > Ftabel(3,96). Lebih lanjut, terdapat interaksi antara tipe tes dan kemampuan kognitif dengan Fhitung(4,26) > Ftabel(3,96). Hasil pengujian Anava satu jalur menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar tes pilihan ganda dengan esai pada siswa berkemampuan kognitif tinggi dimana Fhitung(0,03) < Ftabel(4,08). Sementara itu, terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar tes pilihan ganda dengan esai pada siswa berkemampuan kognitif rendah dimana Fhitung(11,59) > Ftabel(4,08). Abstract: This research was aimed to determine : the differences of learning outcome students using multiple choice test and essay on Circulatory System of the VIII grade students of SMPN 14 Pontianak, the existence of test type interactions and cognitive ability towards learning outcome, the differences learning outcome between multiple choice test and essay to student with high level cognitive ability and the differences learning outcome between multiple choice test and essay to students with low level cognitive ability. Treatment by level 2 2 was used as the method of this research. Result of the two ways Anava test conducted on the 0,05, there was differences the learning outcome from the students with multiple choice test and essay test where as Fcount (5,37) > Ftable (3,96). Hence there was interactions between test type and cognitive level on Fcount (4,26) > Ftable (3,96). On one way Anava test showed no difference multiple choice test and essay to high cognitive level students where as Fcount (0,03) < Ftable (4,08).
