Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengetahui efektivitas remediasi menggunakan mindscaping pada materi kalor di kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 PemangkatKab. Sambas Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Bentuk penelitian berupa one group pretest-postest design dan instrumen penelitian berupa tes diagnostik. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 2 Pemangkat sedangkan sampel ditentukan melalui teknikintact group terdiri dari 38 siswa kelas VIII A. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa mindscaping efektif untuk membetulkan miskonsepsi siswa dengan tingkat efektifitas tergolong sedang yaitu 0,332 tiap siswa dan 0,382 tiap konsep. Rata-rata persentase penurunan miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 33,17% tiap siswa dan 38,15% tiap konsep. Secara keseluruhan, hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan uji McNemar terdapat perubahan konseptual siswa yang signifikan. Kata kunci: Remediasi, miskonsepsi, mindscaping, efektivitas Abstract: The purpose of the research was to knowedthe effectiveness of remediationby usingmindscaping on heat materials in 2 Pemangkat Junior High School grade VII,Sambas Regent,West Borneo Province. The methode of the research was one group pretest-postest design and the instrument of the research wasdiagnostics test.The population of the research was all students of 2 PemangkatJunior High School while samples selected through intact group technique consisted of38 studentsin grade VIII A. The results showed that the mindscaping effective to remedialstudent misconception with the effectiveness categorized was medium as much as0,332 of each student and as much as 0,382 of each concept.The average of student misconception reduction percentage wasas much as 33,17% of each student and 38,15% of each concept.
