<![CDATA[Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan translasi representasi siswa materi himpunan kelas VII MTs. Negeri 1 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah kelas VIII D MTs. Negeri 1 Pontianak dan objek penelitiannya adalah kemampuan translasi siswa materi himpunan. Penelitian ini menggunakan tes tertulis dan wawancara untuk melihat kemampuan translasi siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil tes, diketahui bahwa kemampuan translasi siswa termasuk dalam kategori kurang sekali. Umumnya siswa lebih dominan dapat melakukan translasi dari bentuk simbol ke bentuk verbal.  Kata kunci: Kemampuan Translasi, Representasi, Himpunan Abstract: The purpose of this research is to to know the ability translation of students representation on the sets material in grade VII MTs. Negeri 1 Pontianak. The method is used qualitative with case study form of research. The subject of research is grade VIII D MTs. Negeri 1 Pontianak and the object of the research is the translation ability of students for sets material. In this research used written test and interview the students to know ability of the students. Based on the result in the data analysis, it can be concluded that students translation ability categorized poor. Mostly students do the translation from the symbol to the verbal.
