Abstract

Abstract: The Effect of Teaching Skills Teachers to Student Motivation of Class XI IPS Talino Catholic High School. This study aimed to determine the effect of teaching skills of teachers to motivate students of class XI IPS Talino Catholic High School. The research method used is descriptive shape is a causal association studies. Based on the calculation of the overall score obtained observations in providing skill reinforcement, explaining skills, and classroom management skills in the excellent category with an average value of 3.65. Further motivation to study is good enough based on the results of questionnaire processing using SPSS 16.0 and teacher interviews to economic subjects. Based on the hypothesis test t hitung (4,289) > t tabel (2,109816), thus Ha accepted. As for the influence of independent variables to (X) on the dependent variable (Y) is equal to 50.5%. This means teaching skills of teachers influence student motivation. Keywords: effect, teaching skills of teachers, students' motivation Abstrak: Pengaruh Keterampilan Mengajar Guru Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas XI IPS SMA Katolik Talino. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan mengajar guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Katolik Talino. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitianya adalah studi hubungan sebab akibat. Berdasarkan perhitungan observasi keseluruhan skor yang diperoleh dalam keterampilan memberikan penguatan, keterampilan menjelaskan, dan keterampilan mengelola kelas dalam kategori sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,65. Selanjutnya motivasi belajar siswa sudah cukup baik berdasarkan dengan hasil pengolahan angket menggunakan SPSS 16.0 dan wawancara kepada guru mata pelajaran ekonomi. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis yaitu t hitung (4,289) > t tabel (2,109816), dengan demikian Ha diterima. Adapun besarnya pengaruh variablel bebas (X) terhadap variabel terikat (Y) adalah sebesar 50,5%. Hal ini berarti keterampilan mengajar guru berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : pengaruh, keterampilan mengajar guru, motivasi belajar siswa.
