Abstract

The role of Civic Education in its era of globalization is very necessary, given its very strategic position, especially for the formation of nation and character building. The purpose of this study is to prove that Civic Education in Indonesia is inseparable from the values of Pancasila. The literature method is used to get conclusions in proving that Pancasila is an ideology and characteristic of civic education in Indonesia. The results prove that Civic Education must be in accordance with Pancasila values in all aspects of citizenship learning. Therefore Pancasila is a characteristic of the State of Indonesia as a philosophical system animating all the concepts of Citizenship teachings and must be applied in the life of the nation and state.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine the quality of Civic Education Multiple-Choice items of the first semester final test of tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 2 MempawahHilirin the academic year of 2018/2019 based on the difficulties, differentiation, validity,reliability, and the effectiveness of distractors.This research used a descriptive quantitative method. The research samplewas taken randomly,comprising 67 tenth-grade students.The object was the first-semester final test items,answer keys, and students’answer sheets. The technique of data collection was done through the interview and documentation method. The analyze dataused the ITEMAN version 3,00. The results show 17 hard questions items (42.5%), 16 medium items (40%), and seven easy items (17.5%). Based on the ability of the differentiating question, there are 10 items categorized as poor items (25%), 24 fine items (60%), and 6 good items (15%). Based on validity,there are 20 valid items (50%), and 20 invalid items (50%). Based on reliability,the test items are reliable with a fine category by the alpha value of 0.548. Based on the effectiveness of distractor,there are 21 excellent items (52.5%), 10 good items (25%), seven fine items (17.5%), and two poor items of distractor (5%). Therefore,the test items of the first-semester final test have good quality.Keywords: Test Item Analysis,Civic Education, SMA Negeri 2 MempawahHilir.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the effect of family environment on student entrepreneurship motivation in the Economics Education Study Program, FKIP UNTAN. The researcher applied quantitative descriptive method for this study. The sample in this research were students of the Economic Education Study Program obtained through Random Sampling. The researcher used questionnaire to determine the effect of family environment to the entrepreneurship motivation, with the formulation; Y = 77.682 + 0.532X. Based on the calculation using SPSS 18.0, t-count was 3,843, while t-table with 56 respondents had the degree of freedom df = n - k or 56 - 2 = 54, so the t-table was 2,004, from the result, it was compared between the results of t-count and t-table . It was concluded that t-count > t-table (3,843> 1,673), therefore Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. The determination coefficient in the results of the study showed the effect contribution between the independent variable and the dependent variable with the amount of 0.215 or 21.5%. The rest were influenced by other factors. It can be inferred that there were found the influence of the Family Environment on the Students? Entrepreneurship Motivation in Economic Education Study Program of FKIP UNTAN.Keywords: Family Environment, Entrepreneurship Motivation

Abstract

 AbstractThis study aims to determine the use of school libraries as a source of learning for students. The research method used is descriptive with a form of qualitative research. The data source of this study were students of class X MAN 1 Pontianak, PPKn subject teachers, and library staff. Data collection tools are observation sheets, interviews and also documentation with class X MAN 1 Pontianak, PPKn Subject Teachers, and Library Officers. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Test data validity of researchers using data triangulation. The results showed that the MAN 1 Pontianak students had a library that had carried out the functions as they should. Where the library has the functions of educative, informative, creative, and responsibility. In the educational function, teachers and students can use the facilities and library collections as learning and support resources as well as facilitate the learning process. The recreational function is felt by students when they feel bored during class learning, with the existence of various libraries and collections, students feel entertained. The informative function is used by students to seek and develop knowledge apart from the teacher. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to find out the effect of study habits in school on the students? learningoutcomes in the Economic subject of class XI IPS SMAN 6 Pontianak. This study wasconducted in the form of correlational research, of which the data were presentedquantitatively. The sample of this study was 70 students of class XI IPS at SMAN 6Pontianak. Data were collected using questionnaires, of which the validity andreliability had been tested. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression testwith SPSS version 18.00. The finding showed that the students learning habits, ingeneral, was in the medium category by 70%. Based on the analysis, obtained theequation Y = 14.375 + 0,845X. The t-test showed the value of tcount>ttable (3.175 >1.995), meaning that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The coefficient ofdetermination (R2) by 0,254 showed that the percentage of the effect of learning habitsin school on the students? learning results on the Economic subject of class XI IPSSMAN 6 Pontianak was 25.4%, and the rest 74.6% was influenced by other factorswhich were not examined in this study.Keywords:Lerning Habits in School, Students Learning Outcomes

Abstract

AbstractThe objective of this current study is to observe an effort to instill a sense of responsibility for assignments to students to be an ethical and responsible person. The conducted study is a qualitative research on the class X students of SMKN 7 Pontianak. The research data were collected using observation, interviews, and documentary study techniques. The instruments of data collection used were interview guides, observation guides, notes, and document archives. The findings showed that the efforts to teach a sense of responsibility to the students could be integrated into the learning process through spontaneous activities, that is, through modeling. Through modeling, students’ attitudes and behaviors are mostly determined by the teachers and other educational staffs’ attitudes and behaviors. To overcome the obstacles, i.e., disobedience of the task completion, the school gives the students to do the additional assignment given as a consequence. The school and teachers also conduct supervision and approach personally to students directly to find out the core problems faced by students.Keywords: Character Implementation, Sense of Responsibility, School Assignments, SMKN 7 Pontianak.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to find out teacher's role in overcoming students undiscipline behavior by directing, guiding, supervising, and leading in class VIII A of Kemala Bhayangkari Middle School. The research approach used was a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Data collection techniques that were used are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The analysis in this study was presented in a qualitative descriptive manner using 8 informants, consisting of social study teacher, information technology communication's teacher, guidance counseling's teacher, and five students who behave undiscipline in class VIII A. The result of this research indicates that the teachers have played a role in overcoming the undisciplined behavior of students in class VIII A. The role of directing is when the teacher make students accustomed to dress well and pray before or after learning. A teacher also plays a role in guiding students through providing the guidance for students who behave an undisciplined behavior. Then, the teacher also plays a role in supervising which is when a teacher controls students and provides reprimands or sanctions for students who behave in undisciplined ways. The final role of the teacher is that the teacher has a role in leading which is the teacher is a good role model for students. Keywords: Teacher's Role, Undisciplined Behavior, Junior High School Students

Abstract

AbstractThis study entitled " Student Learning Interest Analysis on the Subjects of Sociology Class XI IPS 2 MAS Al-Mustaqim Arang Limbung". A common problem in this study is how to students interest on the subjects of Sociology class XI IPS 2 MAS Al-Mustaqim?. With the sub-problems : (1) How do the feelings of love to students in following the process learning of sociology? (2) How the student's attention at a time when the process learning of sociology?(3) How student involvement in the learning process of sociology?. The purpose of this research is to know the taste of pleasure, attention and involvement of students in the subjects of sociology. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach method. As for the sources data are the students of Class XI 2 IPS that add up to 30 people. Engineering data collection is observation, interview and documentation. Data collecting tool guidance interviews, observation and documentation guidelines. Technique of data analysis in this research include reduction of the data, the presentation of data and verification. Research results is : (1) there is no feeling of love to the students on the subjects of sociology, because students always feel bored when learning takes place. (2) the student's Attention is still less, as there are students were sleeping at the time the teacher explains material (3) student involvement is also less, because students do not contribute actively in the discussion. Keywords: Learning Interest,  Sociology Lesson

Abstract

Abstract This thesis entitled, "The influence of the socioeconomic status of the parents towards the interest of students continuing high school education on the students of grade XII SMA N 1 Sungai Raya Kepulauan", with the research problem, "Does the economic status of parents affect the students' interest in continuing high school education on students class XII SMA N 1 Sungai Raya Kepulauan? ". Socioeconomic status of parents is very influential with children's education, children with high socioeconomic status families will get more opportunities in their education.  The population was 103 students and the sample was 51 students. The approach used by researcher is quantitative research approach, collecting data with questionnaire. Data processed with SPSS For Windows Version 18.0. analysis of 27 items of instruments declared valid, and 3 items of instruments declared invalid, test reliability is stated all instruments> 0.6 then the instrument is feasible. Normality of data using kolmogrov-smirnov test of normally distributed data asymp value significantly of 0.862 and 0, 602 is above the probability value> 0.05. The results showed that the socioeconomic status of the parents had an influence on the students' interest in continuing high education in the students of grade XII SMA N 1 Sungai Raya Kepulauan in the show with the formulation Y = 31,988 + 0,186X. Based on the calculation using SPSS computer program, t arithmetic of 1.782 is not t table with 41 respondents orrang, then t table is 1.6829. From these results, compared between t arithmetic with t table. Resulted that t count> t table that is 1,782> 1,6829, because t count> t table then Ho rejected and Ha accepted.  Keywords: Influence, Socioeconomic Status, Interests, Higher Education

Abstract

AbstractThis research is entitled "Motivation Analysis of Teachers in the Learning Process of Sociology Class XI IIS 2 Muhammadiyah High School in Pontianak". A common problem in this research is how the motivation of teachers in the learning process of sociology in class XI IIS of Muhammadiyah 2 High School Pontianak ?. The purpose of this study was to find out how the teacher's motivation and the form of motivation that the teacher dominantly used in the Sociology learning process. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data sources are sociology teachers and 4 students. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation study. Data collection tool in the form of interview guides, observation and documentation guides. Data analysis techniques in this study included data reduction, data presentation and verification / conclusion. The results of the study showed the following findings: (1) The form of motivation that the teacher uses in the Sociology learning process that is giving hope, explaining learning goals, helping the difficulties that occur, and gifts and praise. (2) the dominant form of motivation the teacher does in the sociology learning process is helping the difficulties that occur, giving gifts and praise.Keywords: Learning proces, Teacher Motivation
