EFEKTIFITAS PENGGUNAAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN JIGSAW UNTUK MENINGKATKAN NILAI IPS KELAS VIII D SMP NEGERI I

Abstrak: Tesis ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dan menunjukkan bagaimana efektivitas metode pembelajaran jigsaw untuk siswa kelas VIII D SMP Negeri I Pontianak. Penelitian ini dibuat dengan metode kuantitatif dan metode korelasi. Target populasi  adalah semua siswa kelas VIII D SMP Negeri 1 Pontianak dengan total siswa 242 siswa. Sample diambil dari Simple Random Sampling, yang mana diambil dari total populasi dengan sample dari kelas VIII C (36 siswa) dan kelas VIII D (36 siswa) dan total sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 72 sample. Hasil penelitian memiliki implikasi untuk meningkatkan Efektivitas Penggunaan Metode Jigsaw untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS. Prosedur dari pembelajaran kooperatif ini mesti diselesaikan dengan benar, dan dilanjutkan dengan beberapa tindakan dan meningkatkan jumlah pertemuan dalam proses belajar mengajar untuk meyakinkan bahwa  metode yang diimplementasikan ini dimengerti oleh para siswa untuk membuat para siswa menjadi aktif sehingga bisa meningkatkan skor siswa. Kata Kunci: Metode pembelajaran jigsaw, nilai IPS Abstract: This theses has a goal to discover and publish whether effectiveness of using jigsaw learning method to students in class VIII D SMP Negeri 1 Pontianak. This research has been done with quantitative method and correlation method. Target population is all students in class VIII D SMP Negeri 1 Pontianak with total students are 242 students. Samples have taken with Simple Random Sampling technique which were taken from total population with sample from class VIII C (36 students) and class VIII D (36 orang) and total sample within this research are 72 persons (students). The result of this research has implications that to increase The Effectiveness of Using Jigsaw Learning Method To Increase The Result of Social Subject. Procedure of this cooperative learning must be done correctly, and be continued with some actions and increasing the number of meeting in learning-teaching process to ensure that the implemented method  must be understood by students to enable the students to be active so it can increase the high result of students’ score.   Keywords : jigsaw learning method , the value of IPS
