Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa  dalam menyelesaikan soal tes koneksi matematis yang berkaitan dengan materi persamaan garis lurus ditinjau berdasarkan perbedaan  lokus kendali. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Penelitian dilakukan pada 34 siswa kelas VIII MTsN 2 Pontianak. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan siswa memiliki kemampuan yang berbeda dalam menyelesaikan soal tes koneksi matematis. Siswa dengan lokus kendali internal cenderung memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis sedang dan siswa dengan lokus kendali eksternal cenderung memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis rendah. Secara keseluruhan dari hasil wawancara dan rata-rata nilai tes kemampuan koneksi matematis menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan lokus kendali internal lebih unggul dan lebih berpotensi dalam mengembangkan kemampuan koneksi tinggi daripada siswa dengan lokus kendali eksternal.   Kata kunci : Lokus kendali, Koneksi matematis Abstract : This research aims to find out students’ mathematical connection ability in solving mathematical connection ability tests related to straight line equation material in terms of locus of control. This research used descriptive method with case study research form. This research was conducted on 34 eighth grade students of MTsN 2 Pontianak. The data analysis results showed that students had difference capability in solving mathematical connection ability tests. Students with internal locus of control tended to have medium mathematical connection ability and students with external locus of control tended to have low mathematical connection ability. Overall, the results of interview and test score average showed that students with internal locus of control were better and more potential in developing mathematical connection ability than students with external locus of control.
