Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis pada materi perbandingan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra-eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian two group randomized posttest only control design. Subjek penelitian adalah 32 orang siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri Pontianak. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis yang berbentuk uraian dan wawancara. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik memberikan pengaruh berupa peningkatan terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis pada materi perbandingan. Nilai rata-rata post-test siswa kelas kontrol setelah diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan konvensional adalah 11,88, sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test siswa kelas eksperimen setelah diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik adalah 49,4.   Kata kunci : Pendekatan Matematika Realistik, Penalaran Matematis Abstract: This research aims to find out the effect of realistic mathematics approach on students’ mathematical reasoning skills in comparison material. This research used pre-experimental method with two group randomized posttest only control design. The subject of this research was 32 students of class VII of Junior High School Pontianak. The data of this research was collected using written test in essay form and interview. The data analysis result showed that realistic mathematics approach increased students’ mathematical reasoning skills in comparison material. The average score of students’ posttest in control group after given learning with conventional approach was 11,88, while the average score of students’ posttest in experimental group after given learning with realistic mathematics approach was 49,4.
