ANALISIS HOTS DAN LOTS SOAL PENILAIAN AKHIR SEMESTER MUATAN MATEMATIKA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the application of HOTS and LOTS in the Mathematics final exam of fifth grade in Dharmasraya. This study used a qualitative descriptive method of content or document analysis. The data collection techniques used in this study included: semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation. There are 40 questions at the end of semester assessment with 34 multiple choice questions and 6 description questions. The results showed that the items that the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) criteria were 6 items at the cognitive level to analyze (C4) with a percentage of 15%. Criteria for Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) were 11 items at the cognitive level of understanding (C2). with a percentage of 27.5%, 17 items applied cognitive level (C3) with a percentage of 42.5%. There are 6 questions that do not have the correct answer in the answer choices with a percentage of 15%. It can be concluded that the Mathematics final exam of fifth in Dharmasraya are still dominated by LOTS. Keywords: HOTS, LOTS, Mathematics   ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan HOTS dan LOTS pada butir soal penilaian akhir semester untuk muatan matematika di kelas V Kabupaten Dharmasraya Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kualitatif deskriptif jenis analisis isi atau dokumen. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu: wawancara semi terstruktur, focus group discussion, dan dokumentasi. Soal penilaian akhir semester yang dianalisis sejumlah 40 soal dengan 34 soal obyektif jenis pilihan ganda dan 6 soal non obyektif jenis uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soal dengan kriteria Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) sebanyak 6 butir soal tingkat kognitif menganalisis (C4) dengan persentase 15%. Kriteria Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) sebanyak 11 butir soal tingkat kognitif memahami (C2) dengan persentase 27,5%, 17 butir soal tingkat kognitif mengaplikasikan (C3) dengan persentase 42,5%. Soal yang tidak memiliki jawaban yang benar pada pilihan jawaban sebanyak 6 butir soal dengan persentase 15%. Dengan demikian, simpulan hasil penelitian mengunjukkan bahwa soal penilaian akhir semester muatan matematika kelas V Kabupaten Dharmasraya masih didominasi oleh Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS). Kata Kunci: HOTS, LOTS, Matematika
