The purpose of this research aims to describe the improvement of students ' learning outcomes by Cooperative Learning method in grade VII D students at SMP N 6 Gunung Talang. This type of research is class Room Action research. This learning cycle consists of 2 cycles with planning, implementation, observation and reflection phases. Data insulation techniques are done by observing, documenting and learning results. Data analysis techniques are performed using a percentage formula. The results showed that using Cooperative Learning methods in learning can improve students ' learning outcomes in class VII D at SMPN 6 Gunung Talang. Cooperative Learning methods are able to make students directly involved in learning and practicing directly. Although the students ' learning results have not increased significantly with the number of students, 5 people from 24 students. However, it was not enough to be there, and continued in the II cycle by improving the teaching methods in the use of the previous method, the lesson is more emphasis on students to focus more on following the learning. After the cycle to the II with an average value of 85.62%, it has been well-predicate with 19 students from 24 students who complete. So the improvement of the learning outcomes of dance by using the Cooperative Learning method and the target you want to achieve has been successful.Keywords: learning outcomes, Cooperative Learning methods, dance Learning
