<![CDATA[Berbagai krisis yang melanda ekonomi pasar membuat cita-cita ekonomiyang sejati, yakni membangun kesejahteraan bersama, semakin jauh panggang dariapi. Kegagalan ekonomi dalam melahirkan kesejahteraan dan kebaikan bersama telahmendorong kita untuk mencari jalan keluar yang lain. Pemikiran Karl Polanyi danpara tokoh gerakan sosialisme ekonomi terkemuka lainnya menjadi bagian dari pilihan.Tulisan ini secara khusus mau mendalami konsep Karl Marx sebagai salah satutokoh sosialis terkemuka, dalam rangka memahami lebih jelas konsep dan pemikiranKarl Polanyi. Pendekatan Marx yang ideologis dan teknis serta kontekstual terhadapmasalah ini, sebenarnya masih berkecimpung dalam koridor ekonomi pasar yang justrumenjadi sumber masalah. Sebaliknya Polanyi ingin melakukan satu gerakan yangmenyeluruh dengan menyoroti akar ketercerabutan ekonomi dari realitas sosial Many crises hit the market-economy. They have made the original economicideals in promoting common good, more and more unreachable. The failure of marketeconomyin promoting the common good has encouraged us to find another way out accordingly.Karl Polanyi and the other figures who lead economic socialism movement shouldbe part of our focus. This paper specifically explores the concept of Karl Marx as one of theleading socialist figure, in order to understand more clearly the concept and the thought ofKarl Polanyi. Marx’s ideological, technical, and contextual approach to this problem, wasactually locked in the corridor of the market-economy itself. In his way, Polanyi wanted tosuggest a more comprehensive movement. Viewing the economy was uprooted from socialrelation (dissembedded–economy) he then suggested the embedded economy for solvingthe market-economy’s problems.]]>
