<![CDATA[This research is focused to know how the implementation of affective relationships between parents and children and to find out how parents try to prevent the children from gadget syndrome. The research location is in the Santo Tarcicius, Parish of Santo Joseph Tebing Tinggi. The informan in this research are mother and father. Father and mother are main educators in the family. Father and mother in the sacred covenant of marriage are obliged to educate and raise and take care their children. One of them is by increasing affective relationships with children, especially in modern times. Nowadays many children have used gadget to the point of not knowing the time, so they become addicted to gadget. This research uses a qualitative approach that prioritize the result of observation, interview and documentation. The result of research shows that parent have an affective relationship with children. This is marked by the close relationships between parent and children, communication with children, parents also help their children in responsibility and help children to find their child's identity, especially mentoring and monitoring children when using gadget.]]>
