Abstract

Nowdays, Catholic families face many challenge. Most of these challengescome from the wider community, while others come from their own familyenvironment. This era of globalization and modernization is increasinglybringing influences and positive and negative impacts for the life of Christianfamilies. As members of the Church, Catholic families are central in educationto families that are not replaced by other education’s institutions nd child care.One of assistance’s material to children is Catholic religious education athome. So this description focuses more on Catholic religious education in thefamily as Ecclesia Domestica.

Abstract

The study aims to know and analyze the effects of innovative active learning methods that are effective in the most fun and Bahasa, known as the PAIKEM method, judging by learners' academic achievements. The research question is how using innovative, innovative learning methods is particularly pleasant to students' academic achievements in Catholic religious education lesson in class VIII B at a private secondary school Saint Xaverius 2, Kabanjahe. Data is collected from interviews, observation and documentation. The research key informants consist of school teachers, Catholic religious education teachers, and students themselves. An object of research as primary data of the study is the effect of Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective and Fun (PAIKEM) learning methods on the academic achievements of the students. Collected data from the fields will be analyzed using a qualitative approach to reproduce data displays and to conclude research data. To quantify the validity of data research researchers used triangulation both in techniques and sources. Research indicates that the use of PAIKEM learning method brings about a positive impact on the students' academic achievements. The challenge for now is the online study (because of the pandemics). Regardless, it is expected that both online learning and face-to-face learning will be implemented, also in the future.

Abstract

Traditional faiths are still often regarded as animism, dynamism and superstition.  The fact shows that traditional fatihs indicate various virtues and truth that can be inspiration for development of multi religious community existence today. The writer, from the result of research toward artefact metaphysic dimension in Jawawawo customary commuity, Central Keo, Indoneia, found out the form of natural monism religiousity which derives from genuine revelationexperience. Peo manifests vision of divinity in traditional faith of Jawawawo community, namely that is transcendent as well as immanent, absolute at once covers and underlies everything, far unlimted, at once involves in history and human life.This divine image shows that traditional faith of this community cannot be categorized as animism, dynamism and superstition; on the contrary, it gives inspiration for self development and faith-dialogue in multi religious community at present.

Abstract

Humans in life are parts of their culture. In their culture humans grow and develop and find meaning of their lives in society. This concept is inseparable from the kinship system in Sulang Silima Pakpak which maintains culture as local wisdom. This study aims to find the revelation of God in Sulang Silima Pakpak and its contribution to Church’s life. The research approach is qualitative which consists of observation, interview and documentation. The research target is the West Pakpak tribal community. The research findings show that the kinship system in Sulang Silima has values in accordance with moral values in the teachings of the Catholic Church and therefore, is relevant to the life and development of the faith of the people.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui implementasi kompetensi pedagogik Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dalam membentuk minat belajar peserta didik di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Parbuluan. Permasalahan penelitian ialah bagaimana minat belajar peserta didik dan implementasi kompetensi pedagogik Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Informan peneliti adalah Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik, Kepala Sekolah, guru sejawat dan peserta didik. Untuk mengukur keabsahan data penelitian maka peneliti melakukan triangulasi baik teknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik sudah memiliki minat dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik, terlihat dari implementasi kompetensi pendagogik yang dilaksanakan sudah terlaksana dengan baik oleh Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik.

Abstract

The family is the first and foremost educator in terms of faith and noble values through the relationships that occur both between husband and wife, parents and children, and relationships between children. This study aims to find three concepts of parents as priests, prophets and kings. Researchers conducted qualitative research with the results of observations, interviews and documentation used by researchers to determine the implementation of the family as the household church of the parish of St. Peter and Paul Kabanjahe. The informants used were 15 families consisting of 15 parents and 15 children. The data analysis process uses technical triangulation and source triangulation. Based on the findings of the researchers, the implementation of the family as a household church has not been fully implemented due to a lack of family understanding of the real household church. In this case the family emphasizes physical life rather than spiritual life. The recommendation in this study is that it is necessary to carry out catechesis to build parents' understanding as a household church in children's education.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the role of Catholic religious education teachers in enforcing the discipline of class VII students at SMP RK Deli Murni Delitua. This study uses a qualitative method. The qualitative method was chosen because it can explore a problem in depth and can explain in detail  problem that occurs, starting from identifying a problem to explaining the solution. This study used several techniques o collect the data  namely interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subject used were 1 tutor, 1 school principal, 1 colleague, and 6 students of class VII junior high school. The results of this study indicate that there are still students who do not obey the rules set by the school,students who skip school, students who come late to school, and student who smoke at school. Researchers found that the role of Catholic religious education teachers in upholding student discipline was good. Learning the Catholic religion implies that discipline is the main requirement to obey the rules. The contribution to the school is with the role of the Catholic religious education teacher as a good educator.

Abstract

Karakter disiplin peserta didik menjadi problem khusus di kelasX IPS SMA St. Antonius Bangun Mulia terutama kehadiran yangtidak tepat waktu, etika berpakaian, tidak disiplin dalammengerjakan dan mengumpulkan tugas dan sebagainya.Peneliti melakukan riset memiliki tujuan mengkaji mengenaiperan guru mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik dalammeningkatkan karakter disiplin bagi peserta didik kelas X-IPS diSMA St. Antonius Bangun Mulia. Metode yang dipakai dalamriset ini adalah kualitatif. Metode ini dipilih peneliti lebih mudahmemahami dan mendalami suatu masalah secara mendalamserta dapat menjelaskan secara detail suatu masalah yangterjadi, mulai dari mengidentifikasi masalah hingga menjelaskansolusinya. Proses pengumpulan data terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitupengamatan langsung oleh peneliti, wawancara mendalam dandokumentasi. Sasaran dari riset ini antara lain 1 guruPendidikan Agama Katolik, 1 guru sebaya, dan 6 siswa kelas XIPS.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pertama, gurupendidikan agama Katolik telah menjalankan perannya sebagaipendidik dan pewarta melalui pembelajaran agama Katolik dikelas, berperan sebagai petugas pastoral dengan memberikanpelayanan, pendampingan, dan pendampingan kepada pesertadidik baik di dalam ataupun di luar pembelajaran agama Katolik,dimulai dengan absensi, disiplin berpakaian, danmengumpulkan waktu penugasan secara teratur. Guru matapelajaran pendidikan agama Katolik juga berperan sebagai pembimbing bagi siswa. Kedua, hasil penelitian yang diperolehmenunjukkan bahwa peserta didik mengalami peningkatankarakter disiplin, karena kehadiran guru yang konsisten dalampembelajaran, khususnya dalam meningkatkan karakterdisiplin. Kepedulian dan semangat guru menjadi prioritas utamadan memiliki peran penting di kelas maupun di sekolah. Siswamudah diarahkan jika guru ada di kelas, tetapi jika guru tidakhadir di kelas, maka situasi kelas dapat menjadi tidak tertib danakan menimbulkan kegaduhan bagi kelas lainnya.

Abstract

This research is to determine the learning creativity of students by using a synectic learning model. The location chosen by the author for this research is at SMK Graphic Bina Media Medan. This study uses a qualitative method. The data obtained from this study are in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data analysis used in this study is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. There were 15 informants in this study consisting of 1 school principal, 1 PAK teacher, 3 fellow teachers and 10 students. The findings of this study are that the learning creativity of students has increased by using the synectic model. This can be seen from the implementation of the 5 model requirements such as: syntax, social system, reaction principle, interactional impact and support systems as well as the implementation of 4 indicators of creativity such as: fluency of thinking, flexibility thinking, elaboration, and originality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in increasing student discipline through learning Catholic religious education at Graphic Bina Vocational High School Medan. This study uses a qualitative method. The data obtained from this study are in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data analysis used in this study is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. There were 3 informants in this study consisting of 1 school principal, 4 teachers including PAK teachers and 13 students. The findings of this study are that PAK teachers have carried out their role in increasing student discipline at Graphic Bina Media Medan Vocational School so that student discipline has increased through learning Catholic Religious Education.
