Abstract

Stunting is a form of stunted growth and development during the first 1000 days of life (HPK). The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic can cause changes in social conditions and affect the nutritional status of children. This study was conducted to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the prevalence of children at risk of stunting in Bangka Belitung. Data on children’s nutritional status was obtained through the electronic Community-Based Nutrition Recording and Reporting (e-PPGBM) system of Bangka Island Province for the first semester of 2020 and analyzed descriptively. The results obtained indicate that restrictions on social activities result in changes in socio-economic patterns. Restrictions on access to consumption and health services will affect the nutritional status of children. A decrease in the nutritional status of children can have an impact on increasing the prevalence of children at risk of stunting in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the Covid-19 pandemic.
