Abstract

This study aims to prove whether the aversion procedure is effective in reducing negative hand-licking behavior in children with autism spectrum disorder class IV at SLB state Pembina Level of North Sumatera Province.This study uses a type of experimental research, single suject research (SSR) using the design of A-B-A. condition A1 is in the baseline condition before being given intervention using herbal medicine sprayed into the child's hands. The A2 condition at the time of the baseline condition is no longer given intervention. Here the technique used is visual graphics technique.The results of the study were analyzed using two components, namely analysis in conditions as well as between conditions. Directional scendrungan, stability direction, data footprint, also overlap. data from 17 meetings in 3 conditions, namely at baseline (A1) get results 7, 9, 5, 5, 5, 5. The Intervesi stage (B) gets results of 5, 8, 6, 5, 3, 3, 3. Next baseline (A2) 5, 4, 2, 2, 2. The results of this study prove that the modified aversion procedure using herbal medicine is effective in reducing negative hand-licking behavior in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
