MENGURANGI PERILAKU SISWA TIDAK TEGAS MELALUI PENDEKATAN REBT DENGAN TEKNIK ASSERTIVE TRAINING

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi perilaku siswa tidak tegas terhadap te-man-teman sekelasnya yang tidak bersahabat melalui pendekatan Rational Emo-tive Behavior Therapy (REBT) dengan teknik assertive training. Penelitian ini dilak-sanakan dengan menggunakan metode kombinasi (mixed methods) dengan model concurrent embedded (campuran tidak berimbang). Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa kelas VIII di SMP Teuku Umar Semarang yang berperilaku tidak te-gas terhadap teman-teman sekelasnya yang tidak bersahabat. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik anali-sis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data interaktif  Miles and Huberman, serta analisis deskriptif  persentase. Hasil penelitian adalah ketiga klien mampu men-gubah keyakinan irrasional menjadi rasional, sehingga ketiga klien mampu men-gubah perilaku tidak tegas menjadi perilaku tegas terhadap teman-teman sekelasnya yang tidak bersahabat. Perilaku tidak tegas ketiga klien berkurang dari frekuensi ser-ing menjadi jarang. Dengan ketiga klien berperilaku asertif  terjalin hubungan baik antara ketiga klien dengan teman-teman sekelasnya yang tidak bersahabat. Simpu-lan dari penelitian ini adalah perilaku siswa tidak tegas terhadap teman-teman seke-lasnya yang tidak bersahabat dapat dikurangi melalui pendekatan REBT dengan teknik assertive training The purpose of  the research is to decrease the students’ non assertive behavior toward their not friendly classmate through the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach with the assertive training technique. This research uses the mixed methods with the concurrent embedded design. The Subject of  this research is the students’ at eighth grade of  Junior High School Teuku Umar Semarang that consist of  three students who had non assertive behavior toward their not friendly classmate. The methods for collecting data are interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the analysis interactive Miles and Hu-berman, and the analysis technique descriptive presentation. The result of  the research shows that the three client can change the irrational believe becomes the rational believe. Therefore, they can change the non assertive behavior becomes the assertive behavior toward their not friendly classmate. The non assertive behavior of  three clients decrease from often frequency to rare frequency. After the three clients have assertive behavior, they can make good relationship with their not friendly classmate. The conclusion of  the research is the non assertive behavior student’s toward their not friendly classmate can be decreased through the REBT approach with the assertive training technique
