ABSTRACT Objective: This study aimed to look at and compare the growth of tissue re-epithelialization diabetic ulcers foot treated using modern techniques and conventional techniques hydrocolloid dressings NaCl + Gauze. Methods: The study design used is quasy Experiment design Jenispre test and post-test non-equivalent control group. The population in this study are patients with diabetic foot ulcers, with Aksidensial sampling techniques 8 respondents split into 2 groups, 4 respondents use hydrocolloid dressings and 4 respondents use NaCl + Gauze bandage. Results: The research results obtained from 8 respondents after treatment for 15 days, obtained a mean value for the group Hidrocolloid n1 = 1.87 cm, n2 = 1.24 cm, n3 = 0:52 cm, n4 = 2.64 cm, whereas in the control group (NaCl + Gauze ) obtained a mean value ie = 0:34 cm n5, n6 = 0.6 cm, 0:31 cm = n7, n8 = 0:37 cm. The results of data analysis using statistical tests independent t-test, the obtained significant results, wherein P value of <0.05 or P = 0.030. Discussion: Respondents who use a hydrocolloid dressing technique shows a picture of the development of diabetic foot ulcer healing faster than respondents who use conventional gauze dressing technique. Conclusion: Ha accepted that diabetic ulcers are treated with a wound dressing Hidrocolloid show the thickness of re-epithelialization better than diabetic ulcers were treated with NaCl + Gauze. From the results of this study are expected to the institutions to make use of modern techniques Hidrocolloid dressings as wound care SOP
