This study focused on three things: (1) What is the characteristics of the scope of contents of Syiâir Muslimat?, (2) What is the socio-cultural conditions at the time the manuscript was written by the author?, (3) What are the moral education values for Muslim women in the content of Syiâir Muslimat in the perspective of gender?. This research uses a philological approach with enhanced use of gender analysis. The result of this study are: Firstly, Syiâir Muslimat is written by Nyai Wanifah, a woman who lived during the Dutch colonial era in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) tradition in Kudus, Central Java. Secondly, some of the moral education values in Syiâir Muslimat among others: (1) The importance of moral education, (2) The danger of stupid women; (3) The importance of learning for women at early age, (4) Ethics decorated themselves; (5) The danger of materialism, (6) The ethics of relation the family; (7) From the house to reach heaven; (8) Beware the devil trickery; (9) Avoid adultery; (10) the important of closing aurot; (11) devoted to parents. Third, although there are some compounds that gender bias in Syiâir Muslimat for example: (a) There is an explanation that shows that women lower than men in degree, (2) The claim that women are talkative than men, (3) Women only fit in the domestic sphere; however in general the advices in syiâir is still very relafen in the present context, particularly to give alternative solution in responding the nation moral crisis especially in women young generation.
