<![CDATA[This research aimed to find out whether or not there was significant improvement of students’ procedure text writing after the implementation of video as media and to investigate students’ perception with regard to interest, challenge, choice and enjoyment of the implementation of video as media in language learning. This research was conducted through quantitative and qualitative approach. A total of 29 eighth graders of SMPN 8 Bandarlampung took part in the current study. The instruments used in this research were writing test (pre- and post-test) and questionnaire. The resultshowed that students’ average score in the pre-test was 53.93 and in the post-test was 59.13, the gain score was 5.20. The result of the Paired Sample t-test confirmed the hypothesis that there was significant improvement in students’ procedure text writing, p0.05, p = .000.
