<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine the character education of the main characters in the novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi with 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan based on the moral comparison of the characters. This research covers the character education of the main characters in the two novels, namely the novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi with 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan. The qualitative descriptive method used in this research is to describe the educational values of the characters contained in the novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi and the novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan. From the results of the analysis of the two novels, it can be concluded that there are 13 similarities in the value of character education as depicted by the characters and the storyline. The values of character education include religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independence, curiosity, national spirit, love for the homeland, respect for achievement, friendship/communication, love of reading, social care, and responsibility. The character education obtained between the characters in the first novel and the second novel has 4 differences, namely creative, democratic, peace-loving, environmental-loving values.]]>
