<![CDATA[The existence of academic burden from lectures and workload at the same time can trigger stress on students. Stress can be reduced by the ability to control emotions in students. This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on stress in working students of FISIP Mulawarman University. The research subjects were 100 students of FISIP Mulawarman University who were selected through purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used in this research is simple regression analysis. The results showed that the value of P = 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is an influence of emotional intelligence on stress on the working students of FISIP, Mulawarman University. The direction of the relationship between the two variables is negative. Adanya beban akademik dari perkuliahan dan beban pekerjaan sekaligus dapat memicu stres pada mahasiswa. Stres dapat dikurangi dengan adanya kemampuan untuk mengendalikan emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosi terhadap stres pada mahasiswa FISIP Universitas Mulawarman yang bekerja. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 100 mahasiswa FISIP Universitas Mulawarman yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisa regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai P = 0.000 < 0.05 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh kecerdasan emosi terhadap stres pada mahasiswa FISIP Universitas Mulawarman yang bekerja. Arah hubungan kedua variabel negatif, yang berarti semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosi, maka semakin rendah stres yang dialami mahasiswa.]]>
