MENGURANGI PERSEPSI NEGATIF SISWA TERHADAP GURU BK MELALUI LAYANAN INFORMASI DI KELAS X MM2 SMKN 1 JUWIRING

BK teachers are underestimated by many students, because they are considered as school police whose only job is to try students who commit violations. This is because students do not yet know the role of BK teachers, so that negative perceptions of BK teachers appear. The purpose of this study was to reduce students' negative perceptions of BK teachers by using Information Services. Information Service is a Counseling Guidance Service which intends to provide understanding and information to students about the functions and roles of BK teachers. The research subjects were students of class X MM2 SMKN 1 Juwiring, totaling 36 students. The research method used is a qualitative method with the aim of knowing whether the implementation of Information Services can reduce students' negative perceptions of BK teachers. From the results of the study obtained data that by using information services, students' negative perceptions of BK teachers are reduced. This is indicated by the data which states that most students have a positive perception of BK teachers. So it can be concluded, if information services are very effective in reducing students' negative perceptions of BK teachers. ABSTRAKGuru BK dipandang sebelah mata oleh banyak siswa, karena dianggap sebagai polisi sekolah yang tugasnya hanya menyidang siswa yang melakukan pelanggaran. Hal ini dikarenakan siswa belum mengetahui peranan guru BK, sehingga muncul persepsi negatif terhadap guru BK. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi persepsi negatif siswa terhadap guru BK dengan menggunakan Layanan Informasi. Layanan Informasi merupakan Layanan Bimbingan Konseling yang bermaksud untuk memberikan pemahaman dan informasi pada siswa tentang fungsi dan peranan guru BK. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MM2 SMKN 1 Juwiring yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pelaksanaan Layanan Informasi dapat mengurangi persepsi negatif siswa terhadap guru BK. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh data bahwa dengan menggunakan layanan informasi, persepsi negatif siswa terhadap guru BK berkurang. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan data yang menyatakan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki persepsi positif terhadap guru BK. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan, jika layanan informasi sangatlah efektif untuk mengurangi persepsi negatif siswa terhadap guru BK.
