Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) model example non-example pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VII-1 di SMP N 2 Singaraja pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014-2015 dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, (2) mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) model example non-example pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VII-1 di SMP N 2 Singaraja pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014-2015 dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, (3) untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa kelas VII-1 di SMP N 2 Singaraja pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014-2015 dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) example non-example pada mata pelajaran IPS . Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Tahap-tahap yang dilakukan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yaitu: (1) penentuan subjek penelitian, (2) membuat rencana tindakan, (3) melaksanakan tindakan, (4) melakukan observasi, (5) melakukan refleksi dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) persentase rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa kelas VII-1 di SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja pada siklus I adalah 66,19% dengan kategori sangat positif, meningkat menjadi 67,85% pada siklus II dengan kategori sangat positif; (2) persentase rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas VII-1 di SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja pada siklus I adalah 81%. dengan kategori baik, meningkat menjadi 86,25% pada siklus II dengan kategori sangat baik; (3) tanggapan siswa kelas VII-1 di SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) model example non-example mencapai kategori sangat positif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) model example non-example dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VII-1 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) example non-example, Motivasi belajar, Hasil Belajar. This research aims to (1) determine the application of problem-based learning model (PBL) model of example non-example in social studies class VII-1 in SMP N 2 Singaraja in the second semester of academic year 2014-2015 can increase students motivation, (2) determine the application model of problem-based learning (PBL) model of example non-example in social studies class VII-1 in SMP N 2 Singaraja in the second semester of academic year 2014-2015 can improve student learning outcomes, (3) to determine the response class VII-1 in SMP N 2 Singaraja in the second semester of school year 2014-2015 with the implementation model of problem-based learning (PBL) example non-example in social studies. This research is a classroom action research (PTK). The stages are done in the classroom action research (PTK), namely: (1) determining the subject of research, (2) make a plan of action, (3) implement measures, (4) to make observations, (5) reflection and evaluation, The results showed: (1) the average percentage of students' motivation in class VII-1 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja in the first cycle was 66.19% with a very positive category, increased to 67.85% in the second cycle categorized as very positive ; (2) the average percentage of student learning outcomes in grade VII-1 in SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja in the first cycle was 81% in both categories, increased to 86.25% in the second cycle with very good category; (3) the responses class VII-1 in SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja on the implementation model of problem-based learning (PBL) model of example non-example achieving very positive category. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of the model of problem-based learning (PBL) model of example non-example can improve motivation and learning outcomes of students of class VII IPS-1 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja school year 2014/2015.keyword : Problem Based Learning (PBL) example non-examples, Learning Motivation, Learning Outcome.
