The teacher has an important role in planning, implementing and developing curriculum in the classroom. Therefore, it is important to increase teacher’s activity, creativity and professionalism. This research is a descriptive study that will explain the role of the Teacher Working Group in improving the professionalism of teachers of Islamic Education in Primary Schools in Dlingo District, Bantul Regency. Data collection methods are done by observation, interview and documentation, and using qualitative data analysis. The results of this study were that the Teacher Working Group was very instrumental in increasing the competence and professionalism of elementary school PAI teachers in Dlingo District, Bantul Regency. Teachers increasingly insight, a lot of knowledge and experience gained, so that teachers can improve their competence.
