<![CDATA[This article description (1) First Language of Student SMAN Titian Teras HAS in skill writes eksposisi and (2) correlation between the first language Bahasa Indonesia with skill writes text eksposisi. Research method applied is qualitative descriptive. The analysis qualitatively and quantitative. Research data in the form of usage of the first language student (Bahasa Indonesia and Vernacular Jambi), 44,58% student applies the first language Bahasa Indonesia, and 55,42% student applies Vernacular Jambi. A number of 39,76% very skillful student writes text eksposisi, 49,40% has not very skillful writes text eksposisi and; 10,84% have been skillful writes text eksposisi.
