PENERAPAN METODE MIND MAPPING (MM) \ UNTUK PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) PADA MATAKULIAH FILSAFAT ILMU

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of the mind mapping method for problem based learning on student motivation and learning outcomes. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research with 34 students taking the MK Philosophy of Science as the research subject, Dance Study Program, S1 semester II students. The research was conducted in two cycles. In the first cycle (before the action was given), 31 people out of 34 respondents answered that Philosophy of Science was difficult. In the second cycle, students were given a tutorial on how to make MM through video to find out whether the MM method was easy. The results show the statement that the MM method is easy by 85% or 29 of the 34 population. Student learning outcomes are categorized as good to satisfying an average of 29 out of 34 populations. This classroom action research concludes that the MK Philosophy of Science is easy to understand by applying the MM learning method. In addition, it also shows good to satisfactory learning outcomes. Therefore, MM needs to continue to be applied to PBL MK Philosophy of Science. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan metode mind mapping untuk problem based learning terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan subjek penelitian mahasiswa Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Surakarta, Prodi Tari, S1 semester II yang menempuh MK Filsafat Ilmu berjumlah 34 orang. Penelitian dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Siklus ke-1 (sebelum diberi tindakan), mendapatkan jawaban bahwa Filsafat Ilmu itu sulit berjumlah 31 orang dari 34 responden. Pada siklus ke-2 mahasiswa diberi tutorial membuat MM melalui video untuk mengetahui jawaban apakah metode MM itu mudah. Hasilnya menunjukkan pernyataan bahwa metode MM itu mudah sebesar 85% atau 29 dari 34 populasi. Hasil belajar mahasiswa terkategori bagus hingga memuaskan rata-rata berjumlah 29 dari 34 populasi. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menyimpulkan bahwa MK Filsafat Ilmu itu mudah dipahami dengan menerapkan metode belajar MM. Selain itu juga menunjukkan hasil belajar yang bagus hingga memuaskan. Oleh karena itu, MM perlu terus diterapkan untuk PBL MK Filsafat Ilmu.
