<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the contribution of big five personality to interpersonal communication in first year overseas students in department of psychology. The research design used is quantitative with the type of correlational research. The population in this study were the first year overseas students in Department of Psychology Padang State University with a total sample of 43 people determined by purposive sampling. The data analysis technique uses multiple regression analysis. The results showed the value of p=0.043 (p<0.05) which means that there is a contribution of big five personality to interpersonal communication. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi kepribadian big five terhadap komunikasi interpersonal pada mahasiswa rantau tahun pertama jurusan psikologi. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa rantau tahun pertama Jurusan Psikologi Universitas Negeri Padang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 43 orang yang ditentukan dengan purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai p=0,043 (p<0,05) yang berarti terdapat kontribusi kepribadian big five terhadap komunikasi interpersonal. ]]>
