<![CDATA[The relationship of number sense with the ability to solve math problems of elementary school students in Bukittinggi. This study aims to determine whether there is relationship between number sense with ability to solve mathematical problems. This type of research is quantitative correlational. The subjects in this study were 109 people. Based on the results of hypothesis testing that there is no relationship between number sense with ability to solve mathematical problems. Evidenced by the results of hypothesis test obtained r value of 0.128 and p = 0.183 (p> 0.01). An understanding of numbers and their operations and being able to use them in flexible way does not determine the success of efforts to find a way out of mathematical difficulty. In general the level of problem solving in mathematics elementary school students in city of Bukittinggi is in the medium category.Hubungan number sense dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SD Kota Bukittinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara number sense dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 109 orang. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara number sense dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Terbukti dari hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan nilai r sebesar 0,128 dan p = 0,183 (p > 0,01). Pemahaman siswa mengenai bilangan dan operasinya serta mampu menggunakannya dengan fleksibel tidak menentukan keberhasilan usaha mencari jalan keluar dari satu kesulitan matematika. Secara umum tingkat pemecahan masalah pada pelajaran matematika siswa sekolah dasar di Kota Bukittinggi pada kategori sedang. ]]>
