HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN SOSIALORANGTUA DENGAN MINAT MEMBACA SISWA DI SD (SEKOLAH DASAR) KOTA BUKITTINGGI

Abstract

The aims is to determine correlation between parental social support and interest in reading. This research uses quantitative correlational designs. Sample in this study are 60 grade V elementary school students in 3 Bukittinggi using purposive sampling techniques. Researchers took 6 schools in 3 sub-districts of the city of Bukitttinggi, of which one district consisted of 2 elementary schools. This study uses the scale of parental social support and reading interest scale with the values obtained ɑ = 0.963 and ɑ = 0.963. Data is processed using statistical product moment techniques. Hypothesis testing found that the correlation coeffic p= 0.000 (p< 0.01) its means Ha Hypothesis is accepted “corelation between parental social support and interest in reading”Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan sosial orangtua dengan minat baca. Desain yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Sampelnya adalah siswa-siswi kelas V SD di 3 kecamatankota Bukittinggi yang berjumlah 60 orang dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Peneliti mengambil 6 sekolah di 3 kecamatan kota Bukittinggi, yang mana satu kecamatan terdiri dari 2 SD. Penelitian menggunakan alat ukur dukungan sosial orangtua dan alat ukur minat membaca dengan nilai yang didapatkan ɑ= 0,963 dan ɑ= 0,963. Data diolah dengan menggunakan teknik statistic product moment. Uji hipotesis didapatkan nilai koefisien korelasi p= 0,000 (p< 0,01) artinya bahwa Ha diterima “ada hubungan antara dukungan sosial orangtua dengan minat membaca”
