Tujuan penelitian menganalisis Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Lahan Pertanian Akibat Terjadinya Alih Fungsi Lahan Di Kabupaten Luwu Dan Untuk Mengetahui dan Kendala-Kendala Yang Dihadapi. Jenis Penelitian Ini Adalah Penelitian Empiris. Hasil Penelitian Ini Menunjukkan Bahwa : (1) Pemerintah Telah Memberikan Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Lahan Pertanian Akibat Terjadinya Alih Fungsi Lahan Dengan Memberlakukan Berbagai Aturan Yang Dinilai Dapat Menekan Laju Alih Fungsi Lahan, Mulai Dari Undang-Undang Nomor 41 Tahun 2009, Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor Nomor 1 Tahun 2011, Peraturan Presiden Nomor 59 Tahun 2019 Serta Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Luwu Nomor 5 Tahun 2018 ; Dan (2) Adapun Yang Menjadi Kendala Utama Rentetan Kebijakan Perlindungan Lahan Pertanian Pangan Berkelanjutan Tersebut Tidak Dapat Berjalan Sebagaimana Mestinya Adalah Karena Lemahnya Political Will Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Luwu Untuk Menetapkan Keputusan Bupati (Baik Tekstual Maupun Spasial) Sebagai Tindak Lanjut Dari Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Luwu Nomor 5 Tahun 2018 Dan Undang-Undang Nomor 41 Tahun 2009 Tentang Perlindungan Lahan Pertanian Pangan Berkelanjutan. The research objective to analyze the legal protection of agricultural land due to the occurrence of land conversion in Luwu Regency and to find out and the constraints faced. This type of research is empirical research. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the government has provided legal protection to agricultural land due to the occurrence of land conversion by enacting various regulations that are considered to be able to suppress the rate of land conversion, starting from Law Number 41 of 2009, Government Regulation Number 1 In 2011, Presidential Regulation Number 59 of 2019 and Luwu Regency Regulation Number 5 of 2018; And (2) the main obstacle to the series of policies for the protection of sustainable food agricultural land that cannot work properly is due to the weak political will of the Luwu Regency Government to stipulate the Regent's Decree (both Textual and Spatial) as a follow-up to the Luwu Regency Regional Regulation Number 5 of 2018 and Law Number 41 of 2009 concerning the Protection of Sustainable Food Agricultural Land.
