<![CDATA[AbstrakSalah satu pendidikan pertama yang di peroleh seorang anak adalah pendidikan keluarga. Akan tetapi, hingga saat ini orang tua masih belum paham akan pentingnya kecerdasan emosional pada anak. Sehingga anak kurang kecerdasan emosionalnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pola asuh demokratis orang tua terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas V di MI Al-Hidayah Guppi Kota Cirebon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantatif dengan desain expost facto. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Sementara itu sampel berjumlah 31 responden. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh demokratis orang tua di MI Al-Hidayah Guppi Kota Cirebon sebesar 87% itu kategori sangat kuat. Kemudian untuk kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas V di MI Al-Hidayah Guppi Kota Cirebon sebesar 70% itu kategori kuat dan pengaruh pola asuh demokratis orang tua terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas V di MI Al-Hidayah Guppi Kota Cirebon sebesar 51,6% dengan taraf signifikan 0,000 ini mendandakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan pola asuh demokratis orang tua antara kecerdasan emosional siswa. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara pola asuh demokratis orang tua terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas V di MI Al-Hidayah Guppi Kota Cirebon.Kata Kunci : pola asuh, demokratis, kecerdasan emosional. AbstrackOne of the first education a child gets is family education. However, until now parents still do not understand the importance of emotional intelligence in children. So that children lack emotional intelligence. This study aims to describe how much influence the democratic parenting parents have on the emotional intelligence of fifth grade students at Guppi City Al-Hidayah MI Cirebon. This research is a quantitative research with post facto design. The technique of collecting data uses a questionnaire. Meanwhile the sample amounted to 31 respondents. Analysis of research data using regression analysis. The results showed that the democratic parenting style of parents in MI Al-Hidayah Guppi Cirebon City at 87% was a very strong category. Then for the emotional intelligence of fifth grade students in MI Al-Hidayah Guppi Cirebon City of 70%, the strong category and the influence of democratic parenting parents on the emotional intelligence of fifth grade students in MI Al-Hidayah Guppi Cirebon City were 51.6% with a significant level 0,000 indicates that there is a significant influence of democratic parenting between students' emotional intelligence.
