<![CDATA[AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan menggali informasi terkait respon masyarakat atas kondisi keberlangsungan ritel tradisonal di tengah perkembangan pembangunan ritel modern yang menjamur begitu cepat di Pangkalpinang. Kondisi ini menjadi kegelisahan peneliti dalam mengamati nasib para warung kecil atau retail tradional dalam mempertahankan aktifitas bisnisnya kedepan. Apakah terkena dampak signifikan atas banyak berdirinya retail-retail besar dari berbagai aspek, baik itu aspek omzet, jumlah konsumen ataupun aspek lainnya. Untuk mendapatkan informasi secara mendalam, maka metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara kepada responden yang terdiri dari pemilik retail tradisional juga masyarakat umum sejauhmana respon mereka dan dampak yang ditimbulkan atas hadirnya retail modern di sekitar usaha mereka. Kata kunci: dampak, ritel modern, ritel tradisional.AbstractThis study aims to explore information related to the public's response to the condition of the sustainability of traditional retail in the midst of the development of modern retail development which is mushrooming so rapidly in Pangkalpinang. This condition becomes the anxiety of researchers in observing the fate of small stalls or traditional retailers in maintaining their business activities in the future. Has it been significantly impacted by the establishment of large retailers from various aspects, be it the turnover aspect, the number of consumers or other aspects.
