Revitalisasi Pantai Cemara Sebagai Salah Satu Objek Pariwisata Asri Di Kota Balikpapan

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Pantai Cemara merupakan salah satu pantai yang potensial untuk wisata di kota Balikpapan. Belakangan mulai dikembangkan oleh warga sekitar dan dinas pariwisata sebagai pantai wisata. Namun masih kalah pamor dari pantai lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil survey yang dilakukan ditemukan bahwa pengelolaan dan fasilitas pendukung belum maksimal. Ditambah kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat serta pengunjung menyebabkan pantai ini seringkali nampak kotor sehingga kurang menarik minat wisatawan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan kesadaran kepada warga terkait kebersihan lingkungan, pengelolaan sampah, dan mempromosikan Pantai Cemara sebagai pantai wisata yang menarik untuk dikunjungi. Rangkaian kegiatan revitalisasi dilakukan secara daring dan luring. Kegiatan daring berupa pengenalan Pantai Cemara ke media sosial lewat ajang lomba fotografi serta webinar terkait pengelolaan pariwisata khususnya pengolalaan sampah. Kegiatan luring mencakup aksi bersih pantai dengan warga sekitar, pengecatan dan penataan fasilitas wisata, demo dekomposisi sampah dengan komposter dan penyediaan tempat sampah. Hasil yang didapatkan dari pengabdian ini adalah Pantai Cemara mulai terkenal di sosial media terutama untuk generasi muda, masyarakat sekitar memahami cara membuat komposter sederhana dan aplikasinya, serta Pantai Cemara terlihat lebih bersih dan menarik. Kata kunci: Balikpapan, Komposter, Pantai Cemara, Pariwisata, Revitalisasi  ABSTRACT Cemara Beach is one of the potential beaches for tourism in the city of Balikpapan. Later it began to be developed by local residents and the tourism office as a tourist beach. But still less prestige than other beaches. Based on the survey results, it was found that the management and supporting facilities were not optimal. Coupled with the lack of public awareness and visitors, this beach often looks dirty so it does not attract tourists. This service activity is carried out to provide awareness to residents regarding environmental cleanliness, waste management, and promoting Cemara Beach as an attractive tourist beach to visit. A series of revitalization activities are carried out online and offline. Online activities include introducing Cemara Beach to social media through photography competitions and webinars related to tourism management, especially waste management. Offline activities include cleaning the beach with local residents, painting and arranging tourist facilities, demos of composting waste decomposition and providing trash cans. The results obtained from this service are that Cemara Beach is becoming famous on social media, especially for the younger generation, the surrounding community understands how to make a simple composter and its application, and Cemara Beach looks cleaner and more attractive.Keywords: Balikpapan, Komposter, Cemara Beach, Tourism, Revitalization
