<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the influence of student confidence on student motivation and student learning achievement in social studies class VIII subjects at SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar for the 2022/2023 school year. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar. The subjects of this study were all students of class VIII. This type of research uses descriptive quantitative methods. The population in this study was all class VIII students as many as 253 students using a random sampling technique, namely all individuals in the population were randomly selected to determine a sample of 72 students. Based on the data obtained from the results of the analysis carried out, the following conclusions can be drawn: There is a significant influence of student confidence on student learning motivation in social studies class VIII subjects at SMP Negeri9 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023. Indicated by the values a= - 2.547740939, b=1.001097026, and y= -2.547740939+1.001097026X. if the student's confidence score (X) increases by 1, then the student's Learning Motivation (Y1) value will increase by 1.001097026X. There is a significant influence of student confidence on student learning achievement in social studies class VIII subjects at SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023, grade a = -5.761078607, b= 0.956850317, and Y= -5.761078607+0.95685032x. If the student's confidence score (X) increases by 1, then the student's Student Learning Achievement (Y2) score will increase by 0.95685032X. There is a positive relationship between student learning motivation and learning achievement in social studies class VIII subjects at SMP Negeri 9 Pematang siantar for the 2022/2023 School Year. it is indicated by the value rxy = 0.68885988 so that the data includes the criteria of the correlation coefficient then it is concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh Pengaruh Percaya Diri Siswa Terhadap Motivasi Belajaar Dan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran IPS Kelas VIII Di SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII sebanyak 253 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling yaitu semua individu dalam populasi dipilih secara acak atau random untuk menentukan sampel sebanyak 72 siswa. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan sebagai berikut: Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan percaya diri siswa terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023. Ditunjukkan dengan nilai a= -2.547740939, b=1.001097026, dan y= -2.547740939+1.001097026X. bila nilai Percaya Diri Siswa (X) bertambah 1, maka nilai Motivasi Belajar (Y1) siswa akan bertambah sebesar 1.001097026X. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan percaya diri siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023, nilai a = -5.761078607, b= 0.956850317, dan Y= -5.761078607+0.95685032x. Bila nilai Percaya Diri Siswa (X) bertambah 1, maka nilai Prestasi Belajar Siswa (Y2) siswa akan bertambah sebesar 0.95685032X. Terdapat hubungan yang Positif adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar siswa dengan prestasi belajar pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 9 Pematang siantar Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. hal itu ditunjukkan dengan nilai rxy = 0,68885988 sehingga data tersebut termasuk kriteria koefisien korelasi maka disimpulkan Ha di terima dan H0 ditolak.]]>
