National Health Insurance participants from the independent participants in the City of Yogyakarta and Bantul Regency already have fairly good knowledge regarding the latest information related to the increase in the cost of contributions for NHI participants. Participants still have not fully accepted the increase in membership fees for the independent participants group due to the current Covid-19 pandemic which has an impact on the economic condition of the community. This condition makes approximately 20% have to pay monthly dues arrears. This type of research is a survey research using quantitative descriptive method with a cross sectional research design. The population in this study were independent participants of the National Health Insurance in Yogyakarta City and Bantul Regency. Samples were taken by quota sampling with a total of 30 participants in Yogyakarta City and 30 participants in Bantul Regency. So the number of samples in this study was 60 participants. Quantitative data were analyzed using Chi Square. The results of this study are that there is no influence of the knowledge factor on the willingness to pay the National Health Insurance contributions in Yogyakarta during the covid-19 pandemic, with a p-value of 0.690. There is also the influence of attitude factors on willingness to pay National Health Insurance contributions in Yogyakarta during the covid-19 pandemic, with a p-value of 0.045. Conclusion: there is no influence of knowledge factor on willingness to pay National Health Insurance contributions in Yogyakarta.
