PERAN PENDIDIKAN SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN DALAM MEMPOSISIKAN LULUSAN SISWANYA MENCARI PEKERJAAN

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan agar mengetahui peranan sekolah khususnya pada Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dalam memposisikan lulusannya bekerja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian campuran berupa data kualitatif berdasarkan kajian studi literatur dari berbagai sumber dan data kuantitatif dari hasil survey wawancara pada beberapa SMK yaitu pada SMKN 1 Cipatujah, SMKN 4 Bandung, SMKN 13 Bandung, dan  SMK Al Wafa Ciwidey. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengambil data dari hasil penyebaran angket pada siswa dan lulusan SMK berjumlah 50 responden dari berbagai SMK di Indonesia secara acak. Hasil penelitian bahwa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membantu siswanya dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan. Namun, untuk jaminan sendiri sekolah tidak dapat menjamin 100% karena semuanya kembali lagi kepada kemampuan siswa tersebut. Sekolah telah memberikan upaya dengan cara menyediakan tes minat bakat, bimbingan karir, Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) pada industri-industri, dan juga Teaching Factory.Abstract:  This study aims to determine the role of schools, especially in Vocational High Schools in positioning graduates to work. The research method used is a mixed research method in the form of qualitative data based on a study of literature from various sources and quantitative data from interview survey results at several vocational schools, namely at SMKN 1 Cipatujah, SMKN 4 Bandung, SMKN 13 Bandung, and SMK Al Wafa Ciwidey. In addition, this study also took data from the results of distributing questionnaires to students and vocational school graduates totaling 50 respondents from various vocational schools in Indonesia at random. The results of the research that Vocational High Schools (SMK) have a very important role in helping their students in getting a job. However, for its own guarantee the school cannot guarantee 100% because everything comes back to the ability of the student. The school has made efforts by providing aptitude interest tests, career guidance, Field Work Practices (PKL) in industries, and also Teaching Factories.
