This research looks at how the five main characteristics of character education are implemented and developed at SDN Kebon Manggis 11. The researcher uses the qualitative approach with a descriptive method in this research. Primary and secondary sources of data were used in this research. The finding of the study showed that the application and development of the five main characteristics in character education at SDN Kebon Manggis 11 make extensive use of Scout extracurriculars in schools, with indicators included in each material or activity contained in Scouting. The five main characteristics featured in character education are particularly successful when implemented and developed through scouting activities, such as nationalism; at this point, students must know the biographies of the national heroes.
