Abstract: This study aims to 1) determine the implementation of authentic assessments at SMAN 1 Sungai Penuh, 2) find out the supporting factors for authentic assessments and 3) the inhibiting factors for authentic assessments. This research activity was carried out in the odd semester of the 2021 academic year, with the research subject being students 10 Mathematics and Natural Sciences 2 and 10 Mathematics and Natural Sciences 5. This research was carried out using qualitative descriptive methods through interviews and observations. Interviews were conducted with two physics teachers at SMAN1 Sungai Penuh. It was found that SMAN 1 was still not effective in carrying out authentic assessments. There are still many types of authentic assessments that have not been implemented properly and this is due to several inhibiting factors. Assessment of project, performance and portfolio assessments requires maximum time in its implementation and requires planning activities as well as possible. The level of student understanding ability. The level of students' understanding ability is different. The solution to handle this for practicum or performance appraisal, projects or portfolios can be done independently at home to minimize time.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui pelaksanaan asesmen autentik di SMAN 1 Sungai Penuh, 2)mengetahui faktor pendukung asesmen autentik dan 3) faktor penghambat asesmen autentik. kegiatan penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2021, dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa 10 Mipa 2 dan 10 Mipa 5. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara dan observasi. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap dua orang guru fisika di SMAN1 Sungai Penuh. Ditemukan hasil bahwa SMAN 1 masih belum afektif dalam melaksanakan asesmen autentik. Masih banyak jenis-jenis asesmen autentik yang belum dilaksanakan dengan baik dan hal tersebut terjadi karena adanya beberapa faktor penghambat. Asesmen penilaian proyek, kinerja maupun portofolio membutuhkan waktu yang cukup maksimal dalam pelaksanaannya serta membutuhkan perencanaan kegiatan sebaik mungkin Tingkat kemampuan pemahaman siswa. Tingkat kemampuan pemahaman siswa berbeda-beda. Adapun solusi untuk menangani hal tersebut untuk praktikum atau penilaian kinerja ,proyek atau portofolio bisa dilakukan secara mandiri dirumah untuk meminimalisir waktu.
