This study aims to analyze and describe the role of supervising teachers from the aspect of carrying out guidance service duties in preventing deviant social behavior among students of SMP Negeri 8 Manado. This study uses a qualitative approach, the researcher acts as the main instrument by using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. Data were analyzed qualitatively and took place from the beginning and throughout the research process. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) The role of the supervising teacher from the aspect of implementing guidance service duties in preventing deviant social behavior of students at SMP Negeri 8 Manado, has been carried out seriously, since students entered this school and continuously continuously follow the development of individual students. (2) The factors that support the implementation of guidance service duties to prevent deviant social behavior among students of SMP Negeri 8 Manado, among others; (a) received as an integral part of the education program in schools, (b) there is awareness among teachers about the importance of counseling services for students, (3) Factors that hinder the implementation of guidance service duties to prevent social saving behavior among state junior high school students 8 Manado, among others are; (a) the limited number of BK teachers, namely only 3 BK teachers, serving approximately 1200 students, (b) the unavailability of adequate rooms and facilities for guidance and counseling service activities, and (c) the workload of BK teachers who are not balanced, namely BK teachers whose number is 3 and each person is assigned to serve 1200 students, and also teach Civics subjects.
