<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the work ethic of supervising teachers from the aspect of carrying out service duties at SMA Negeri 5 Manado City. This study used a qualitative approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The main instrument in qualitative research is the researcher himself who in data collection is: 1). Observation2). Interview,. 3). Documentation, data analysis techniques used qualitative analysis techniques. Based on data found from informants, efforts to overcome obstacles to carrying out service duties at SMA Negeri 5 Manado City are still limited, namely attending seminars related to the guidance and counseling program, both at the regional and national levels. Apart from that, another obstacle is that supervising teacher personnel are assigned to do other tasks outside their profession, so that their main tasks are often ignored. This is related to a management system that does not understand the guidance and counseling program. Based on the results of the research and discussion described above, it can be taken the conclusion that the work ethic and professional commitment of supervising teachers at SMA Negeri 5 Manado is in the sufficient category, and which is still low, and each school has different obstacles.]]>
